Lizzee Solomon Studios is all about art that enlivens. Using a blend of traditional art and new technology, we create vibrant artworks portraying things both real and imagined.

In addition to the artwork in our shop, we offer custom creative services for non-profit organizations, emerging entrepreneurs, and independent businesses. Our most popular services are custom adhesive vinyl signage graphics, custom laser cutting in acrylic and wood, and onsite mural painting. As long as I can remember, I’ve always loved working with my hands. After graduating with a degree in Studio Art and Hispanic Studies from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh PA, I completed an art residency in Oaxaca, Mexico. It was there that I fell in love with alebrijes - traditional, brightly painted woodcarvings of mythological creatures.

After returning to the United States, I worked for a local makerspace and learned how to use CNC technology to cut material quickly and precisely. For the past decade, my creative process has been a blend of techniques inspired by traditional folk art practices, lowbrow art, and new technology. Working this way enables me to experiment all the time, discovering unexpected and delightful combinations of color and texture.

I believe strongly in art that is accessible to all, both conceptually and economically. I believe in art that looks awesome and is unpretentious. Each piece I create is done with intent, care, and craftsmanship. I make artwork to spread joy and enliven the spaces around us. Let’s get wild together!
